Week 10B: Business Categories

To make things more user-friendly and accessible for your visitors, it is helpful to make sections or categories on your blog or website. Because my business is dedicated specifically to the food/service industry, I would have limited categories and they would be used to help customers realize they want to visit my shop. The categories that I would use would be: food, different types of drinks, other products and an “about us” page.
The first category would include all of the pastries, sandwiches and other food products I make. In addition to just listing the items themselves, I would add the ingredients and nutritional information. I would also add a section that suggests other items for customers to try if they already have tried a certain thing. Lastly I would include all ideas for new food items and when my customers can be expecting them.
The second category would be similar to the food category but would instead include all of the drink options. It will be separated by hot and cold and yearly and seasonal. This category too would also show all the ingredients and nutritional information, as well as showing different additions customers can make to these drinks to customize and make them just for themselves. I would also put a section how our drinks compare to popular drinks at other coffee shops and businesses, like Starbucks and Holsem in North Park, San Diego.
The third category would be smaller but it would contain all of the other products offered at my shop. This could include anything from mugs to shirts. I would include a section that talked about discounts that are coming up and how they can get these products by becoming a member and using a point system.
The fourth and final category would just describe me, my background and other significant information about my coffee shop. I would tell my story of where I came from and how I fell into the coffee industry and the story that led me there. I would leave information to contact our store such as a phone number, email and a spot to enter complaints anonymously. Finally, I would link all of Cousha Coffee’s social media accounts so that my visitors can stay up to date and follow along with what is going on daily in my store.

Till next time...x
